The band will be playing at Walshestown FC's Annual Sports Day. In addition to the DBB the club are providing games for the kids, stalls, food and tea/coffee stands. All are welcome for what promises to be a great day for all the family.

Drogheda Brass Band, current National Brass Band Champions of Ireland, have teamed up with the incredible Allan Ramsay to put together one of the most ambitious programs of music the band has ever attempted. In addition to Allan the band will be bolstered by some of the best players in banding:
Taste of Meath is an artisan food event showcasing the best of locally produced foods from the Boyne Valley and county Meath region. Organised by the Meath Artisan Producers in conjunction with the OPW, this event will take place in Oldbrige Estate and will feature cookery demonstrations from some of the county's best chefs. On Saturday, events will include food stalls, cookery demonstrations, flower stalls, floral talks, floral art, storytelling, children's garden games, curiosity cart and a children's garden workshop.
Drogheda Brass Band has repeating the extraordinary feat of being champions of both Northern Ireland (Grade 2) and the Republic at the same time.
Their latest success saw them scoop the National Championships of Ireland in Navan last Sunday and regain a title they lost last year, having won it for the previous six years in a row.
And in a few weeks’ time, the local outfit will represent Ireland at the European Band Championships which are being held this year in Perth, Scotland.

The Drogheda Brass Band will celebrate all that is local with a concert that promises to be spectacular both musically and visually. The Band, recently crowded NIBA Grade 2 Champions, will perform music composed by former members Christy Smith and Dr Richard Rock, current member Anthony Murphy and local composer Michael Holohan. The concert will also feature the bands Flugel horn player Chris Cassidy
The DBB were crowned NIBA Grade 2 Champions in Armagh's Market Place Theatre last Saturday. The band also claimed the best Cornet Section prize while conductor Michael Maher picked up the conductors prize.
The band has won 8 Championships in 7 years (6 IABCB and 2 NIBA) which is an incredible achievement however Saturday’s victory is particularly special considering the large number of young players who took to the stage.
The Drogheda Brass Band School of Music held its annual Junior Slow Melody competition on Saturday 21st September in the DBB Bandrooms at East Coast Business Park, with participants competing in three different age categories. Students from the School of Music took part in Under-12, Under-15 and Under-18 competition sections, with every player performing admirably and ensuring a hugely entertaining show for the many friends and family members in the audience.
Allan Ramsay leads the musical way at Drogheda Band's annual Summer Sounds week of new music making.
The Drogheda Band recently held their annual ‘Summer Sounds’ week, where their Senior and Youth bands worked with well known conductors Allan Ramsay, Owen Garbutt, Jamie Smith and Dr Richard Rock.
The Summer Sounds workshop sees the Drogheda Brass Band team up with top class players and conductors in a week long workshop which culminates in our Annual Summer Sounds Concert.
